What Poster Lamination Is For

A protective laminate (gloss or matte film) shields the print from moisture, scratching and fading - which means a laminated poster lasts significantly longer than a plain offset print under the same conditions. This makes it a good fit for outdoor advertising, bus shelters, hospital sanitary zones, and anywhere a poster needs regular wiping down or washing. Lamination can be applied to both single-sided posters and double-sided posters.

Gloss or Matte Film - How to Choose

Gloss film deepens colour saturation and works well for advertising and photographic artwork. Matte film cuts down light glare - a better choice for brightly lit spaces (hospital corridors, offices) and where the poster will be viewed at an angle. If your main goal is richer colour at a lower cost than full lamination, take a look at our varnished posters with UV varnish.

Durability and Uses

The laminate makes the poster surface wipeable, which makes it easier to keep clean in medical facilities and public buildings. Available in formats A3–B1, on coated papers from 170–350 gsm as well as GC1 board, printed single- or double-sided in CMYK. For long-term display where rigidity and easy, frameless mounting also matter, a laminated poster can be combined with our slide binded posters.
